Beamy build kit

Don't follow the instructions. Invent the machine.

The Beamy crane built from birch plywood beams and orange parts

A big, open-ended building kit for ages 6 +. Start with a model from the manual, then take it apart and build something nobody has drawn yet. Everything tightens by hand, so a 6-year-old can build alone.

  • Crane
  • Catapult
  • Rubber-band racer
  • Excavator
  • and whatever comes next

How it plays

Easy to start. Big enough to keep going.

Many building toys are made for one model and lose their spark once it is built. Beamy is made for the next idea.

  • Start in minutes

Pick a model from the manual: a crane, a catapult or an excavator. Hand-tight knobs and snap-in pins let a 6-year-old build it alone, with no tools to find.

  • Make it your own

One hole grid runs through every beam, plate and plastic part. Move a pivot, lengthen an arm, add a pulley, and see what changes.

  • Set a challenge

Lift a bucket. Launch a ball over the sofa. Roll up a ramp. Then add wheels, beams and other extras as the ideas get bigger.

Why Beamy?

The Beamy catapult with orange hand-tight knobs holding every jointThe Beamy excavator in birch plywood with orange partsA Beamy grabber claw built from plywood beams and orange brackets

Our hand-tight knobs and snap-in pins are a system we designed ourselves. Small fingers can build, change and take apart everything alone.

Did someone say extras?

Every pack uses the same grid and the same pegs, so it mixes straight into the kit you already own.

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about the kit, the parts and your order.

What age is Beamy for?

Ages 6 and up. The parts are sized for small hands, and the first builds are simple enough to finish on your own.

Is it too hard for a 6-year-old?

The parts are large and every joint closes by hand, so most children can start a model on their own. The manuals show each step in pictures, and a grown-up can always join in.

How is Beamy different from other building toys?

It is bigger, it needs no tools, and it is open-ended. The manual models are only a starting point, and the real play comes from changing them or building something of your own.

Do I need any tools?

No. Every joint is held by a hand-tight knob or a snap-in pin, so there is nothing to find in the toolbox.

What can we build with the starter kit?

The manuals walk you through a crane, a catapult and an excavator. After that the kit is yours to invent with, and more models are on the way.

What is it made of?

Beams and base plates are Baltic birch plywood. Brackets, wheels, pulleys, knobs and pins are tough BPA-free PETG plastic with rounded corners.

Does it work with the add-on kits?

Yes. Every Beamy part uses the same hole grid, so add-on packs mix straight into the kit you already have.

What if a part goes missing?

Spare knobs, pins, string, hooks and bolts come in small refill packs, so one lost piece never ends a build.

How do shipping and returns work?

Shipping is free and orders leave within 1 business day. If the kit is not right for you, you have 14 days to send it back for your money.
